Dr. Ronald Marcus is a California-licensed and Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist. He received his B.A. in Biology from the University of California, San Diego and received his M.D. from Georgetown University School of Medicine.
He completed his Psychiatry residency at the Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia. His 30-year professional career includes multiple practice settings, including Psychiatrist in the U.S. Navy, Correctional Psychiatry as a clinician and Chief Psychiatrist for the coastal parole division of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Inpatient Psychiatrist and Chief of the Medical Staff at Napa State Hospital, and private practice Psychiatry on both coasts.
Dr. Marcus also served in the U.S. Navy as a General Medical Officer and prior to his residency, he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
